I couldn´t record this activity because yesterday, one of my best friends (His name is Oscar) called me from Toronto and even though He is Mexican, his English is perfect and I tried with him to have a phone conversation in English. That was awesome because I´ve never tried before and I could see that my speaking is improving every single day. He told me that He was so proud of me bacause now, I can have a conversation with him and my English is more natural. We talked about our lifes ( the school, our friends and extra activities, etc.) and although at the begining the conversation sounded strange, at the end we really have fun to do that.
I love that my friend speak English well because He corrects my mistakes and He always tried to teach me some words that I dont´t know how to say in English. I was so happy to talk with him again.
** REFLECTION:
That conversation helps me to improve my speking skills and also helps me to lose my afraid to talk in English with another person. I was so happy because I could do that and now, I feel more confident about my English speaking.

Poem
Love Defined
What is love, but an emotion,
So strong and so pure,
That nurtured and shared with another
All tests it will endure?
What is love, but a force
To bring the mighty low,
With the strength to shame the mountains
And halt time’s ceaseless flow?
What is love, but a triumph,
A glorious goal attained,
The union of two souls, two hearts
A bond the angels have ordained?
What is love, but a champion,
To cast the tyrant from his throne,
And raise the flag of truth and peace,
And fear of death o’erthrow?
What is love, but a beacon,
To guide the wayward heart,
A blazing light upon the shoals
That dash cherished dreams apart?
And what is love, but forever,
Eternal and sincere,
A flame that through wax and wane
Will outlive life’s brief years?
So I’ll tell it on the mountaintops,
In all places high and low,
That love for you is my reason to be,
And will never break or bow.
- Matt Dubois -
In this activity I recited this poem and I feel so strange because memorize it was a little bit harder jajaaja but I search the poem on ineternet and I tried many many times because I always made mistakes and I had to do again. The pronuntiation was good.
** REFLECTION:
I was frustrated at the begining because I made a lot of mistakes and I had to do a lot of times. But at the end, I was so proud of me because I could do it and my record was great. I have to practice more my speaking skills.

Conversation
Paulina: So you came to Toronto when you were about two and a half?
Alejandra: M-hm. Yep.
Pau: And your parents, were they Canadian or?
Ale: Yeah they were both Canadians. They were simply … They were trained as teachers and so they joined the government program called CSIS.
Pau: How do you spell that?
Ale: C-S-I-S.
Pau: Uh-huh.
Ale: And it was in order to help developing countries train professionals, in this case, training them how to teach.
Pau: So they worked in Ghana as teachers?
Ale: Yeah. Teaching teachers how to teach, so methodology…
Pau: Ah teacher trainers. Right. Ok.
Ale: Yep.
Pau: And then they went to Europe.
Ale: Yep.
Pau: They were doing the same thing in Europe?
Ale: Ahm Europe.. they were just seeing the country with… My sister would have been like five or six and I would have been, as I said, about two at that time so they traveled with two children just to show us I guess..
Pau: Right.
Ale: …a taste of Europe and…
Pau: That must have been wonderful. Do you remember very much?
Ale: Actually the only memory I have of Europe is a green beer bottle and a window sill in Amsterdam.
Pau: Wow!
Ale: And the beer was called Oranjeboom. I remember just looking down on this intersection and there was this kind of cobblestone kind of look and I just have that imprint and a sort of a feeling with it but I do not really have any other extended memories from that time.
I did this activity wit my sister because she speaks a little bit of English and I needed someone who can help me to do the conversation. First I look for the conversation on Internet and I changed the names of the people that have the conversation. After that, We sit down togueter and we tried a lot of times because sometimes we made some mistakes and we had to correct the record and try again.
That was a lot of work but finally, we did it well.
** REFLECTION:
This activity was a lot of fun for me and my sister. We could practice our speaking and at the end, I think that we do a very good job eventhoug we have to still practice our English jaja.

Singing!!!
For this activity, I decided to sing a very beutiful song that I love it because I danced that song when I did my 15teen party. The song is "Dreaming of You", and the singer is Selena. First that everything, I listened the song many times because I wanted that my pronunciation was pretty good and, after that, I looked for the letter of the song on internet.
I tried many times to sing very well, but at the begining my practice was awful. At the end, I could do my performance very good jajaja and I was so proud because I didn´t see the letter when I was singing. Now, I know that my speaking is better because I´m thinking in English and for that reason my pronunciation is a little bit faster and natural.
I was so happy.
SELENA - DREAMING OF YOU
Late at night when all the world is sleeping
I stay up and think of you and I wish on a star
That somewhere you are thinking of me too
'Cause I'm dreaming of you tonight
'Til tomorrow I'll be holding you tight
And there's nowhere in the world I'd rather be
Than here in my room dreaming about you and me
Wonder if you ever see me and I wonder if you
Know I'm there (Am I there)
If you looked in my eyes would you see what's inside
Would you even care
I just wanna hold you close but so far
All I have are dreams of you
So I wait for the day and the courage to say
How much I love you
Yes I do
i'll be dreaming of you tonight
'Til tomorrow I'll be holding you tight
And there's nowhere in the world I'd rather be
Than here in my room dreaming about you and me
(BRIDGE)
Ahh-Ahh
I can't stop dreaming of you
I can't stop dreaming
I can't stop dreaming of you
Late at night when all the world is sleeping
I stay up and think of you
And I still can't believe that
You came up to me and said
I love you
I love you too
Now I'm dreamin' with you tonight
'Til tomorrow and for all of my life
And there's nowhere in the world I'd rather be
Than here in my room dreaming with you endlessly
(CHORUS OUT)
** REFLECTION:
Now I feel more confidence about my speaking and I try to think more in English than in Spanish. I was so proud of my skills but I will practice more because I want to speak like a really american people jajaja.

….up when setting your table. Bottom line, when we look at it, you now have a polished approach. You’re blossoming in your quest to make every day entertaining, and have just passed Entertaining 101.
Oh wow! I feel so proud. My friends are gonna have the best night, and it comes thanks to a little bit of planning and a lot of work. Don’t go thinking this wasn’t hard. It took a lot of time but, oh yeah I feel great, and you’re gonna find the exact same thing when you do this at home.
You now have the basics . You’re armed with the knowledge for complete entertaining success. See this bottle of champagne? You’re gonna hold one just like it. And when you pop that cork, and when you pour that champagne, wait ‘till you see your friend’s faces as they lift their glasses in celebration to you. Talking about celebration? Yeah, I’m all up for it ; each and every day. You too. That’s why we’re ready to make every day entertaining.
** REFLECTION:
I practiced my listening skills whit this kind of exercise. I had to do this many times, but at the end I could finish the exercise great.
